About half the group, approximately 20-25 people and a few reluctant spouses and partners decided to get an early start at the weekend festivities. They gathered at the Stadium Club on Montage Mountain on Friday night for drinks, snacks, and introductions.
It was evident to all that Saturday's event would be fun and that the weekend was off to a great start.
Predictably, the years melted away in conversations and with each new arrival. "Do you remember..." was intoned over and over to smiles and nods. Decades and lifetimes zipped by in seconds and minutes.
Too soon the evening was over, well nearly so.... as smaller groups left for local haunts and favorite (pizza?) places in the area.
The stage was set for a fun time to follow on Saturday.
